Beginning Oct. 15, Idahoans could enroll in Your Health Idaho medical and dental coverage for 2025.
Your Health Idaho has 13 insurance carriers offering 149 medical and 24 dental plans. Each county offers at least four carriers with some offering six to eight. All information in this article is sourced from the Your Health Idaho website.
The open enrollment will be available from Oct. 15 to Dec. 16.
Idaho residents who are already enrolled will be automatically renewed for 2025 coverage. Those who wish to enroll but miss the Dec. 16 deadline will have to wait until next October.
Customers can find an attached tax credit application which helps Idahoans know how much tax credit they qualify for.
90% of all enrollees receive a tax credit that pays for partial or full amounts of their monthly premiums.
“While the cost of medical treatments and services continues to drive premium increases, tax credits are designed to lessen the financial impact on consumers. Idahoans may even see their premium costs go down in some areas,” said Pat Kelly, Your Health Idaho executive director in a recent press release.
Your Health Idaho representatives encourage those who are not sure where to begin to seek advice from a certified agent or broker.
For students looking for health coverage through Your Health Idaho, Parker Insurance located on Rexburg Main Street, has agents available.
Founded in 2013, Your Health Idaho began as an independent entity governed by 19 board members. All local Idaho residents, the board was comprised of insurance agents, legislators and health care professionals.
“The mission of Your Health Idaho is to maintain maximum control of Idaho’s health insurance marketplace at minimal cost to its citizens,” according to Your Health Idaho’s mission statement.
