Northampton festival exploring mental health to offer support – BBC.com

A festival exploring mental and physical health and wellbeing hopes to support people who are struggling with various issues.
BBC Radio Northampton is bringing wellbeing professionals together for Headfest, an annual event that aims to help people with their mental health.
The event, which is being held on 25 October at the University of Northampton, aims to provide a safe space for people to discover what support is available in Northamptonshire and to talk to people who may be having similar experiences.
According to the charity Mind, one in four people will experience some kind of mental health problem in a year.
Diane Danzebrink, from Menopause Support, will be bringing a virtual reality experience of what it is like to be going through that life stage.
There are more than 30 recognised symptoms of menopause, which include anxiety, low mood and problems with memory.
Tim Millward, a deputy chief medical officer for the NHS, will be there to answer any questions and Luke Young, author of Against The Current, will talk about the impact the internet had on his mental health and why he took himself off social media for a year.
