A mother with debilitating postpartum depression. A teenager who is contemplating suicide. A father battling a gambling addiction. These are just a few of the thousands of stories that reach the Neshamos helpline every day.
With Dr. Eli Rosen’s backing Neshamos was able to educate the community about emotional wellness. Five years later, they are launching an ambitious plan to raise half a million dollars for a new wellness center in Crown Heights. A portion of the funds from this campaign will also replenish their therapy fund.
“This center is a long awaited vision for our community,” says one of the board members. The Neshamos center will provide a safe, welcoming space for individuals struggling with trauma, mental health issues, and addiction.
Over the past five years, Neshamos has made a significant impact by educating the community about emotional wellness and offering vital referrals for those in need. The organization has answered over 4,000 helpline calls from people not only in Crown Heights but across the globe, helping individuals navigate the complexities of mental health, trauma, and addiction.
Now, Neshamos is ready to take its work to the next level.
The new Neshamos center will provide a range of kosher therapeutic modalities in a safe, supportive environment, including:

Group healing sessions for individuals to connect and heal together.
Separate programs for men, women, and teens, addressing their specific needs.
Access to vetted mental health professionals who meet the highest halachic standards.
“As the demand for our services continues to grow, we are asking our community to come together and help us expand our efforts,” says Leah Klein. “Your support will allow us to continue offering life-changing support and ensure that no one is turned away.”
Asarah B’teves marks a day of reflection and connection, symbolizing the strength to rebuild and the resilience to endure. Just as the Jewish people have turned moments of darkness into opportunities for light, Neshamos invites you to join our Charidy campaign to bring healing and hope to those struggling with pain and trauma.
On this sacred day, let us unite to illuminate lives, providing the support and resources needed to rebuild from within. Together, we can transform loss into growth and despair into resilience. Be a part of this mission—because every Neshama deserves to shine.
