Even so, experts say the candidates’ track records from their time in the White House provide a reliable basis for imagining how they would handle health care policy if elected in November.
While experts expect that Vice President Kamala Harris would build upon President Joe Biden’s expansions to social programs, they predict that Trump would try to cut health care-related spending and undermine social programs.
