With less than a week to go in the US presidential election race, Kamala Harris and Donald Trump are making their final pitches to voters.
The Democratic presidential nominee has been forced to respond to Joe Biden inadvertently whipping up a conservative media storm by seemingly calling Trump’s supporters “garbage” in response to comedian Tony Hinchcliffe’s already-notorious Madison Square Garden joke about Puerto Rico. The White House and president maintain he did not.
Harris told reporters on Wednesday that she “strongly” disagrees with any criticism of the public based on their voting intentions.
Trump also addressed the president’s comments.
“Last night, Joe Biden finally said what he and Kamala really think of our supporters,” he said. “He called them garbage and they mean it.”
In a bizarre moment, the former president appeared outside a rally in Wisconsin in a garbage truck, dressed as a sanitation worker, and answered questions about the original slur on Puerto Rico, seemingly reviving the initial scandal to ridicule from the Harris campaign
On Tuesday, Harris delivered her “closing argument” in Washington DC, speaking on the very same spot from which Trump told his supporters to “fight like hell” on January 6, 2021.
Jennifer Aniston, star of The Morning Show and Friends, has endorsed Kamala Harris and Tim Walz, voting for the Democratic ticket earlier today.
She posted on Instagram:
Hi friends 👋🏼Today not only did I vote for access to health care, for reproductive freedom, for equal rights, for safe schools, and for a fair economy, but also for SANITY and HUMAN DECENCY.
Please remember that whoever you are and wherever you live, your voice matters. Your VOTE matters.I know we don’t agree on everything, and that is the beauty of this country, but GOOD LORD aren’t you tired of this negativity towards each other? The intimidation and constant threats to those who do not think the same as the other?
Let’s please end this era of fear, chaos and the attacks on our democracy – and vote for someone who will unite us and not continue to threaten to divide us 🙏🏼
I very proudly voted for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz.
We are so lucky we get to VOTE and this election is in our hands! We only have one week until Election Day so talk to your friends, your family, your neighbors and let’s find our way back to each other with respect, common cause, and LOVE. 💙🇺🇸

Aniston was one of the first celebrities to hit out at Trump running mate JD Vance over his resurfaced “childless cat ladies” comment, earlier in the campaign.

Nearly four years ago Richard Hall watched as Maga supporters stormed the Capitol and assaulted police officers. On Tuesday night, at the very spot where Trump riled up the mob, Kamala Harris made her pitch to the US electorate, offering a stark contrast with the man she is running against.

George Clooney provided his voice to a new ad for Kamala Harris months after calling on President Joe Biden to exit the race.
The 30-second ad spot, paid for by evangelical progressive group Vote Common Good, begins with three men walking into a polling center as one says: “Come on boys. Let’s make America great again.”

The Las Vegas Sun has published a strongly worded editorial stating that while “Donald Trump’s racism, sexism, xenophobia and penchant for corruption have long made him unfit for any public office, let alone the presidency,” his cognitive decline has now also become a troubling concern.
Americans from both sides of the political spectrum should be alarmed by Trump’s words and behavior. The nation must confront the fact that beyond his hateful character, he is crippled cognitively and showing clear signs of mental illness.
…. A recent analysis by The New York Times noted that Trump’s rally speeches over the past eight years have become darker, longer, more profane and increasingly unfocused and unhinged — a troubling sign that he is no longer able to articulate ideas or reason in ways we expect of our leaders. This makes him prey to manipulations by his own staff or, worse, the control of foreign adversaries.
He shambles about aimlessly, slurs his words and sometimes speaks gibberish. Always an effortless liar, now that his speeches are nothing more than a series of lies tangled in a mass inside his head, it appears he no longer even knows he’s lying.
Alyssa Farah Griffin says Trump’s garbage truck stunt is a “total fail”.
She posted on X: “Am I cracking up? Yes.”
“Is it an effective stunt? No. He’s assuming voters hear ‘garbage’ & think of Biden’s gaffe.. but Trump campaign’s Puerto Rico debacle is much deeper in the zeitgeist. A total fail.”
