Flocks of twisted young women packed a Manhattan court Friday for a chance to see alleged UnitedHealthcare CEO killer Luigi Mangione — with some donning the same maroon color he wore when he was arraigned on murder charges in the disturbing case.
Dozens of depraved devotees braved the freezing temperatures in line to get access to the court in Lower Manhattan — several hours before the 26-year-old alleged killer was slated to appear Friday afternoon.
Roughly 75 members of the public — mostly women — also crowded the hallway outside where Mangione’s case was due to be heard.
At least one was seen sporting a bright green Super Mario Bros “Luigi” hat as a handful of fans donned the maroon tops.
Meanwhile, others tried to cash in on the circus-like spectacle outside the courthouse — including a blockchain business that flashed a massive digital image depicting Mangione as a saint on a truck.
The rolling billboard advertised a “$LUIGI blockchain token“ for a “decentralized healthcare system,” proclaiming, “It takes guts to put everything on the line” and “Corporate greed won’t stop. Neither will we.”
Roughly 40 demonstrators also rallied Friday afternoon near the courthouse steps — with some calling the accused assassin a righteous crusader against America’s corrupt healthcare system.
“It’s time the corporations realize people can f—k them over like they f–k us over,” said Jabeze Pujols, a 21-year-old New York University student from Brooklyn.
“It’s sad it took violence, but [the murder] got people to open their eyes and started a conversation. He shined a light on the health insurance industry,” said Pujols. “I want to see him found not guilty.
A similar wild, pro-Luigi rally erupted when the accused murderer first appeared in court in Pennsylvania in December on murder and terror charges.
Since his arrest, scores of warped fans have glorified the alleged murderer — with some dubbing him a modern-day hero — because they see him as a warrior against America’s healthcare system.
They have demanded that Mangione be “set free” and declared that slain UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson deserves “no empathy.”
Among the crowd of Mangione supporters Friday was notorious military intelligence leaker Chelsea Manning, who reportedly said she was at the courthouse “exercising my Sixth Amendment right to observe our court proceedings.”
Fans at the rally waved signs reading “Luigi before parasites” and “Our suffering and death and their millions.”
“I don’t agree with what he did but I am sympathetic to the cause he promoted,” Kevin Sigey, an NYU student who hails from Kenya, told The Post. “Violence has the ability to get eyes on what you’re trying to promote. “
Mangione — an Ivy League graduate from a prominent Maryland real estate family — is accused of ambushing the healthcare boss on Dec. 4 outside a Manhattan hotel before leading authorities on a five-day manhunt.
