Providing mental health support to the most vulnerable members of our communities
Everyone has mental health, but social stigma and lack of access to care prevent millions from getting the support they need to thrive.
That’s why United Way partners with healthcare providers, educators, and grassroots leaders to create more equitable, compassionate mental health support systems. From peer connection programs to crisis care and trauma-informed resources, we’re ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to be well—no matter where they live or what they’ve been through.
Mental health is essential for personal well-being and community resilience. United Way is expanding access to mental health support—because everyone deserves to feel safe, connected, and heard.

Jóvenes SANOS is a youth leadership group working to elevate youth voices to shift the stigma around mental wellness and increase youth access to mental health resources. Learn more about how it seeks to cultivate peer-to-peer connections and promote hope, healing, and resiliency.
Through the EveryDay Strong initiative, United Way gives parents, teachers, and caregivers tools to help kids feel safe, connected, and confident. We teach communities how to build kids’ emotional strength step by step; equipping them to thrive in school, relationships, and life.
