SUNY Korea Stony Brook is launching a master’s degree program in data science, jointly offered by the Department of Computer Science and the Department of Applied Mathematics and Statistics.
In an increasingly data-driven world, data science has become essential across all industries, including technology, healthcare, finance, government and media. This new program, which combines rigorous theoretical foundations with practical training, is designed to meet the growing demand for professionals who can extract insights from data and be leaders in the digital age.
It is delivered entirely in English at the SUNY Korea Songdo campus and can be completed in three to four semesters.
Students will gain expertise in data analysis, machine learning and real-world problem solving. The curriculum emphasizes ethical data practices and effective communication of technical results, preparing graduates for impactful careers in both academia and industry.
