CARTHAGE, Ill. — Memorial Hospital and Memorial Medical Clinics want to reassure patients and community members that they remain in-network with UnitedHealthcare despite a recent mailing error.
UnitedHealthcare (UHC) recently issued letters to some members incorrectly stating that Memorial Hospital and Memorial Medical Clinics would no longer be part of UHC’s provider network as of May 1. These letters were sent in error. UHC has since acknowledged the mistake and has mailed a rescinded letter to correct the misinformation.
“We understand that this notice caused concern for many of our patients and their families,” Rena Willey, executive director of Revenue Cycle, said in a press release. “We are pleased to confirm that Memorial Hospital and Memorial Medical Clinics continue to be in-network with UnitedHealthcare. Our patients can continue receiving care without interruption.”
Patients who have questions or need further clarification are encouraged to call 217-357-8696. Memorial staff are available to assist with insurance-related questions and provide peace of mind regarding coverage and access to care.
