Health insurance can save your life; Call for free, unbiased help to get covered – WRAL News

Hundreds of people called in to get their health insurance questions answered during 5 On Your Side’s Affordable Care Act call-in event.
If you couldn’t call in to get your Marketplace or Medicaid questions answered, you can still call 855-733-3711 to reach the NC Navigator Consortium.

Leave them a message and they will call you back.
You can schedule an appointment to meet with a navigator virtually or in-person.
The consortium also has walk-in events coming up in Raleigh, Durham and Fayetteville.
Open enrollment for Affordable Care Act plans closes on Jan. 15, so now is the time to figure out your insurance options for 2025.
Here’s a look at those events coming up in the next week:
-Jan. 9, 9:30a-5:30p – Bordeaux Branch Library, 3711 Village Dr, Fayetteville, NC 28304
-Jan. 10, 10a-5p – Martin St. Baptist Church, 1001 East Martin St, Raleigh, NC 27601

-Jan. 14, 2p-7p – Southwest Regional Library, 3605 Shannon Rd, Durham, NC 27707
-Jan. 15, 9:15a-3:30p – Fayetteville Legal Aid Office, 327 Dick St Suite 103, Fayetteville, NC 20301
Call 855-733-3711 to get your questions answered about Affordable Care Act plans.
Navigators are federally qualified health insurance experts who provide free, unbiased help finding health insurance plans to people in all 100 counties in the state.
“Over a million North Carolinians are enrolled and benefiting from healthcare.gov, coverage. So I would encourage you to access the benefits that you’re currently eligible for, and know that you’ve got folks on your side. Navigators are available to support you in navigating what your options are right now,” said Hollis Smith, deputy director of the North Carolina Navigator Consortium.
