STEUBENVILLE, Ohio — Women aged 40 and up have the opportunity to receive free mammogram screenings Monday as part of Minority Health Month.
The Tiffany Breast Care Mobile Unit will be stationed at the Urban Mission on 6th Street until 3 p.m.
"So when they understand it's time for my mammogram and DHI and the Ohio Valley Health Center are collaborating and working together along with Urban Mission that in April, minority health month, we're going to remind these women hey you didn't get your screen, come in. we want you to save your life, we want you to make you're not at risk," nurse Vanessa Palmer said.
Minority Health Month, observed every April, aims to raise awareness about health disparities affecting racial and ethnic minorities.
