Coloradans have until Sunday to enroll in health insurance plans to get their coverage by Jan. 1, 2025.
Connect for Health Colorado, the state’s official health insurance marketplace, reported last week that a record number — 221,443 Colorado residents — have already enrolled in health coverage for 2025, according to the agency’s new release. However, the insurance marketplace encourages customers who need insurance to browse options and discover their eligibility for financial assistance through the application process.
Due to enhanced federal tax credits still in effect for 2025, an expected 81% of customers will qualify for financial support, the release said. Plans for $10 or less a month are expected to be available for 3 out of 5 Coloradans. Those re-enrolling may also find more affordable insurance options if they explore other plans.
“Connect for Health Colorado is here to help Coloradans enroll in high-quality, affordable health insurance for 2025,” Chief Executive Officer Kevin Patterson said. “So don’t wait – get started today.”
Connect for Health Colorado has resources to help with the application process. Customers can access free support in multiple languages — with no obligation to buy a plan — by contacting a certified network of assisters and insurance brokers. To connect with an expert, go to connectforhealthco.com/we-can-help.
A “Quick Cost and Plan Finder” tool also allows people to explore insurance plans and financial assistance without creating an account. To use the tool, go to planfinder.connectforhealthco.com/home.
“Colorado is proud of our nation-leading work to help connect more Coloradans to health care coverage they can afford, and it’s great to see so many people signing up,” Gov. Jared Polis said. “I hope that every Coloradan who needs insurance signs up by the Dec. 15 deadline to get their coverage by Jan. 1.”
