Amid the ongoing cycle of threats of tariffs and negotiations kick-started by the Donald Trump-led US administration, another tranche of tariffs is likely on its way. The incumbent president, Trump, while speaking to a reporter on Air Force One, said that tariffs on the pharma industry are coming very soon.
Previously, the pharma industry was shielded away from Trump’s tariff blitzkrieg.
Rane (Madras) has approved the sale of surplus land in Velachery, Tamil Nadu.
The company is part of the Rane Group, which specialises in steering and suspension systems.
Rane (Madras) Ltd on Tuesday said its board has approved the sale of a surplus land parcel measuring approximately 3.48 acres in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, to Canopy Living LLP, a joint venture between Arihant Foundations & Housing Ltd and Prestige Estates Projects Ltd.

The government has not yet taken a call on whether to impose a higher safeguard duty on steel imports beyond the provisional 12% currently in place, according to Sandeep Poundrik, Secretary, Ministry of Steel.

Several Smallcap 100 stocks are trading lower today. Reliance Power is down nearly 5% at ₹63.63, while Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra) has fallen around 4.5% to ₹68.70.
International Gemmological Institute (India) is also down by about 4.5%, trading at ₹367.50.
Aster DM Healthcare has declined 3.5% to ₹565.90, and Hindustan Copper is lower by nearly 3.5%, trading at ₹253.89.
On a day when the indices have largely traded in red with a minor decline, the Nifty Pharma index is one of the biggest losers at the bourse. This sectoral index declined by 1.45%.
Some of the biggest losers at this corner were as follows
Granules India Limited shares lost 2.8%.
Lupin Limited shares declined by 2.6%.
Aurobindo Pharma Limited shares dipped by 2.5%

The initial public offering (IPO) of Oswal Pumps Ltd. has been subscribed 5.27 times so far on the third and final day of bidding on Tuesday, June 17, with demand primarily coming from non-institutional bidders.
TVS Motor will begin accepting bookings for its flagship electric scooter, the TVS iQube, in Jakarta on June 19.
DLF’s premium project, Privana North, has generated sales worth approximately ₹11,000–12,000 crore, according to sources cited by CNBC-TV18.
The entire project was completely sold out within a week of its launch.
Privana North consists of 1,164 units, including 1,152 four-bedroom apartments and 12 penthouses.
A consortium including Siemens and led by Dineshchandra R Agrawal Infracon has secured a ₹4,100 crore contract, with Siemens’ portion valued at ₹1,230 crore.

Raminfo secures ₹484 crore contract from Rajasthan Renewable Energy Corporation (RRECL).
Several stocks are trading in the red today. Vishal Mega Mart is down 3.41% at ₹120.59, while Aurobindo Pharma has dropped 2.88% to ₹1,112.40.
Lupin is also lower by 2.55%, currently trading at ₹1,959.60.
Tube Investments of India has declined 2.52% to ₹2,912, and Sona BLW Precision Forgings is down 2.39%, trading at ₹488.25.
